Jeep tour to volcanoes of Kamchatka from Team Trip. Still warm Tolbachik volcano, which spewed lava in 2012 and very active Kluchevskoy volcano. Trekking routes are not difficult and available for everyone.
After the volcanoes, we'll go on three-day cruise across the Pacific ocean: we'll go along the coast of Kamchatka on catamaran, swim with orcas, dive with sea lions and get acquainted with biologists from FEROP project, who study orcas in Kamchatka since 1999, and will listen to their interesting lecture.We also will meet seals and sea otters and watch the northern sea birds.
We will go along the coast of Kamchatka, swim with Steller sea lions and whale watch. The most exciting thing is our acquaintance with killer whales! First we will visit the field camp of FEROP biologists who study orcas in Kamchatka since 1999, and will listen to their interesting lectures, and then go in search of these amazing intelligent mammals and even swim with them in the ocean! We also will meet seals and sea otters and watch the northern sea birds.
It is possible to extend the program by visiting Mutnovsky and Goreliy volcanoes (2 days), and by climbing Avachinskiy volcano (1 day). This trip is recommended to combine with tour on the Kuril Lake, the territory of the South Kamchatka Federal Preserve (July 20-24), where we will be watching brown bears and their salmon hunting.

Program
July 08-19, 2017
Day 1 (July 8)
Arrival in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy, rest, briefing.

Day 2 (July 9)
Moving (500 km) to Kozirevsk on off-road jeep, or on comfortable car ("Kamaz" for passengers type). 7-9 hours in route. Lunch at Milkovo.
After Kozyrevsk we'll go (about 5 hours) to Tolbachik volcano. Volcanic cone is bright red, volcanic bombs, endless streams of lava, slag fields of different colors and huge areas covered with burned forest.
The unusual landscape of Tolbachik volcano gives the impression of an extraterrestrial landscape. Night in camping.

Day 3 (10 July)
Watching (about 4 hours) lava flows and new cones, formed as a result of a grand eruption in 2012-2013. In the evening return to the camping. If the group wants we can go (about 6 hours) to the crater of Flat Tolbachik volcano. Descent to the camping takes about 4-5 hours. Sightseeing of the Sulfur cones formed by the eruption of 1975-76 and the «dead forest». Night in camping.

Day 4 (11 July)
Sightseeing of the sulfur cones formed by the eruption of 1975-76 and the «dead forest». Transfer to Koyzrevsk. Accommodation in a private house. Russian sauna.

Day 5 (12 July)
Moving (4:00) to Copyto mountain, where we will see a magnificent view of Kluchevskaya group of volcanoes and volcano Tolbachinsky. Camping.

Day 6 (13 July)
Radial exit (20 km) to the canyon of Studenaya river, edelweiss meadow and Barany creek. Return to the car and camping.

Day 7 (14 July)
Road to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (10-12 hours).

Day 8 (July 15)
Free day before a cruise across the Pacific Ovean in search of killer whales.

Day 9 (July 16)
settling on the ship, getting acquainted with the crew, instruction, entering the ocean. Going to Starichkov Island (possible diving), seal watching, bird watching. Transfer to the Vilyuchinskaya bay and Zeleniy Cape. Searching for the orcas on the way. Meeting biologists from the project FEROP in Zeleniy Cape, studying orcas in Kamchatka and listen to their fascinating stories.

Day 10 (July 17)
Swimming with Steller sea lions at Kekurny Cape. Overnight in the Russkay Bay.

Day 11 (July 18)
Returning to the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky seaport. On the way searching for orcas and whales.

Day 12 (July 19)
Flight back home
